Our Story

Rooted in Compassion. Guided by Love.

About Us

At Serenity View Assisted Living & Memory Care, we are more than a care facility—we are a community built on love, dignity, and purpose. Our guiding phrase, “Love at All Times,” is not just a motto. It is the foundation of how we live, serve, and care.

Love at All Times

A Founding Principle of Serenity View

During the early days of our relationship, my husband Amar came across a painting by Simon Silva titled Amor a Todas Horas—“Love at All Hours.” It showed a mother holding her child in the quiet of night—an everyday moment made eternal through care, tenderness, and devotion.

That image stayed with us.

It reminded us that real love isn’t loud or showy. It’s steady. It shows up in the quiet moments—especially when no one is watching. That painting became a symbol of how we wanted to live: with purpose, with compassion, and with love that endures in all circumstances.

When we began designing Serenity View, we knew this would be our guiding principle:

Love at All Times.

What It Means in Practice

  • Welcoming each resident as family.
  • Supporting caregivers who are steady, kind, and rooted in dignity.
  • Creating a space where the atmosphere itself feels like comfort.
  • Honoring the worth of every person—especially during illness, forgetfulness, or decline.

As a physician, I’ve witnessed the power of love in healing. It shapes outcomes. It changes lives. That is the standard of care we are building here.

Tas Akram, DO is a board-certified physician. Her approach to care is grounded in the belief that the body, and the mind, respond to environment, nutrition, relationships, and meaning, not just medications. After years in clinical practice, Dr. Akram saw the same pattern repeatedly: patients in standard care settings were being over-medicated, under-nurtured, and managed rather than cared for. Serenity View is her answer to that gap. She actively monitors each resident’s health through an integrated EMR, tracking vital signs over time and coordinating with outside physicians to ensure no detail goes unnoticed between appointments. Her focus on overmedication review alone distinguishes Serenity View from every other assisted living option in the region.

Amar Akram, P.E., a licensed Professional Engineer, designed and built Serenity View. The home’s infrastructure, from its wide accessible hallways to its gated 5-acre grounds, reflects engineering principles applied to human wellbeing. The physical environment is not an afterthought. It is part of the care model.
